[See Conscious Connection to Essence, Parts 1-3, in their entirety]
[Azure362] What happens when one fragment is deriving pleasure from another fragment’s pain? Here is where I get confused. This encompasses all these levels, personal or collective, as in when society feels some sort of pleasure at putting some fragment to death, as in capitol punishment. So this would not be true connection to Essence then? So it is safe to say that some pleasures are of Maya?

[Question] “Balance implies obsolescence of the overleaves. Balanced man is no longer stuck. He is free to move in real space where there are no limitations” (Messages from Michael). I can only interpret this to mean that it is possible to change one’s overleaves – not easy, but in rare cases, possible. However, the overleaves can be regarded as part of the physical plane, and there is also the common idea that the positive poles of the overleaves represent the true personality. I don’t see any real conflict in this (as it sometimes appears in discussions), unless one assumes it is possible to exist on the physical plane without overleaves, as the quote above seems to imply. Comments?

[Tibtyc] Greetings. I read in Messages from Michael: “There is only growth, often difficult, mostly painful because so few of you are willing to learn through joy.” How can we better learn through joy? And how can we learn to like joy, prefer it to pain? That is my question.

[clavis] I have noticed “things ending” or “things changing” around me, but I am at lost as to “where I should go next” (and no impulses). Could Michael give any insight?
[M_Entity] There are always impulses. In most cases where the sense of “no impulse” is present, the impulse is actually, quite simply, to “wait.” The impulse is informing you to manage reality as it stands currently, but that more information may be needed as a means for determining further impulses.
In other cases where the impulse is not recognized, it is because the impulse contradicts the momentum the fragment has invested in.

[Question] Hello Michael. Can you talk about the difference between Faith vs. Trust, particularly in regards to Life or “The Universe”? Michael says blind Faith is a negative pole thing, but I have trouble seeing how Trust in something as intangible as “The Universe” is not the same thing as Faith. Please elaborate?
[Michael Entity] We see the difference between Faith and Trust as vast. Faith inherently asks of you not to question, and further to turn a blind eye to any discrepancies between what you expected, intended, or wanted vs what you experience. Trust, however, is based in experience that has already been gained, and allows room for questions and redirection from the less-desirable.
[Lights_Edge] I have been playing the idea that to truly understand you are the creator of your own reality you have to being accepting the responsibilities you have abdicated in the past to others. Can you comment on this idea and if it is valid in anyway?
[Michael_Entity] If in “accepting responsibilities” you mean impose self-guilt and judgment, it is not valid, but a trick of the Chief feature. If in “accept responsibility” you mean to apply comprehension of your consciousness at the time (your past) as innocent, then yes, it is valid.

[Question] All choices are valid, but does it make sense to try to make more ‘progressive’ choices, and how does one identify such choices if it does?
[Michael Entity] We would ask that you define “progressive.”
[Response] that furthers ones progress, development…
[Michael Entity] We have yet to see a choice that does not already do this. There are no choices that regress a personality or essence, but is always “progressive” to some degree and development.

The 7 Methods of Choice
[Includes additional channeling after the chat for clarity and detail]
[Michael_Entity] Hello to all of you. We are here.
We understand the topic to be that of what we would refer to as the “7 Methods of Choice”.
There are 7 methods of choice. This does not mean they are in any way hierarchical, but rather that they are as distinct and available as any Overleaf or Role, even more so. This information is not to complicate the experience of Choice, but to help bring understanding to the varying methods that you may find are your personal preference, or to find more appropriate methods to suit your circumstances.

[fiestycappy78] I have recently had an inner realization reading a book on Adviata/Non-Duality (The Outrageous Myths of Enlightenment by Stephen Wingate). Where do your teachings fit in with the main teaching of Advaita, which says that Consciousness Is-And we are THAT. There is no separate self. The separate self is an illusion. My question, specifically, is around the idea of CHOICE and FREE WILL. Michael always speaks of CHOICE, but who has CHOICE if there is only ONE…? Isn’t choice by the personality/Ego merely an illusion?
[Excerpt from TT: 2009-07-13]
[Question] I would like to hear you discuss more about choice. From my understanding, every personality has the ability to choose. However, incarnations are planned out ahead of time as well as parents, agreements, TC’s, etc. What I would like to know, is what would happen if a baby were to be born when no Essence planned that life out? Is that something that is possible if personality does indeed have freewill and choice? Would that baby be born without a soul/Essence? What would that life be like? Can humans really act outside of Essence’s influence, has it ever been done, and when?
