[ShannonB] You have told us in the past, how new diseases will have to develop as we discover cures for existing ones. Today I read about a mysterious disease that has killed people in Europe: variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, similar to “mad cow” disease in bovines. Is this one of the diseases that we “needed” to thin our population, and what is causing it?
[M_Entity] No disease is “needed,” though there will always be new ways for exiting the planet created as old ways are alleviated. That particular disease appears to be localized and not contagious or hereditary, though dietary-based in its origins. This disease has been around much longer, but not so specifically defined as now. As dietary intake continues to be more poisonous than nutritional, more effects will be seen.
[ShannonB] Is it related to ingesting contaminated red meats?
[M_Entity] We see a common denominator among these fragments ingesting consistent amounts of toxic flesh, yes.
