[M_Entity] We are here. One Moment. We understand the topic as being Configurations.
The topic of Configurations is avoided by most of our students and channels for a couple of reasons in general: Understanding Configurations depends on your understanding of the very basics of our system; and as the complexities of each Configuration grows, the contexts for understanding each position changes a bit. This can be confusing to most since many want the differing systems to be more consistent.
We will define “Configuration” as any number of Fragments beyond ONE who act together with a common goal. There are FORMAL Configurations and INFORMAL Configurations. FORMAL Configurations are based in Essence “plans” and can have a goal that does not get accomplished for many lifetimes. INFORMAL Configurations occur in any number of situations in which you are in any kind of group. These could easily be called WORKING CONFIGURATIONS and SOCIAL CONFIGURATIONS, respectively.
Understanding a Working Configuration can shed light on your life as you grow through your 4th Internal Monad and begin your own personal Life Task. If you are part of a Working Configuration (which most are), you will then find the insight leading you closer to maintaining True Personality and connection to Essence.
Understanding Social Configurations can shed light on your life as you grow as a Personality, at any physical age or soul age, and allow you to understand why certain dynamics occur in certain groupings.
As we share with you the dynamics of each Configuration, remember that the information applies to BOTH Working and Social groups, unless otherwise indicated. The only difference is this: In Working Configurations, the Position you play within your group DOES NOT ALTER. In Social Configurations, your Position will alter as necessary.
For those of you who will try to link the Configurations to what we call a Support Group, we suggest you not jump ahead before the completion of the information. Support Groups (a group of 12 fragments who enrich and empower your life) are of a different context to a small degree and we will clarify as time permits.
First, we will share with you the correlations basic to understanding Configurations. This will be familiar to some of you.
The information will come as follows: NUMBER – ROLE – Configuration Position
A Configuration beyond this begins to become ever more meaningless in terms of a given lifetime, though if any student were interested, the numbers do continue.
There is a mathematical meaning behind this sequence. There is also meaning as to why, in the numbers beyond 7, though the Roles repeat there is no Scholar listed. This is because when the Configuration grows to the number 13, Position 4 moves from being considered SUPPORT, to SUPPORTED and is the pivotal factor among the 12 other Positions. We will elaborate on that as time permits, but for now we will begin with the more evident and useful Configurations you may find yourself as part of in daily life.
The smallest Configuration is a TRIAD. Though we listed the correlations above, in the case of a Triad, the terms above DO NOT APPLY. When 3 people are involved, there are the very basic Positions of POSITIVE – NEGATIVE – NEUTRAL. A group of 3 will ALWAYS be a catalyst for transformation and progression through some kind of Karma, internally or externally. 3, and by extension Karma, is the very basic Configuration that allows this Universe and an Essence to grow. In groups of 3, there will usually be “issues” raised and if the Configuration is serious and committed, each new challenge will take each Fragment forward. We believe the inherent tension found in a group of 3 is where the phrase, “3 is a crowd” comes from. Based on limited time, we will quickly cover each Configuration, and then take your questions.
We note here that there are NO WORKING CONFIGURATIONS of 3.
The next Configuration is a Quadrate. In a Quadrate, the Common Goal is usually directly linked to each Fragment’s own Life Task. Beyond the Quadrate, into higher numbered Configurations, the Life Task is not necessarily linked to the group goal. We say this in reference to Working Configuration ONLY; in a Social Configuration, no personal Life Tasks are necessarily relevant.
As we share with you the differing Configurations, we note that EVEN-numbered Configurations up to 10 MUST have all Positions being filled by Physically-incarnate Fragments. ODD-numbered Configurations can tend to have the final, odd-numbered Position filled by non-physical Fragments acting as guides, or the Position may be filled with a Concept/Ideal representing that Position. Even the Configuration of 3 may have only two Physical participants, while the “issue” is the “third position.” In most cases, however, ALL Fragments tend to be extant, except in the highly unstable group of 5. Beyond the Configuration of 10, no more “rules” apply except that the BASIC QUADRATE (4) is incarnated.
In a group of 4 in either Social or Working Configurations, each will fall into one of the four basic positions inherent to that Configuration: LOVE, KNOWLEDGE, POWER, and SUPPORT.
Something unique to the Positions defined in a Quadrate is that EVERY INDIVIDUAL EXTANT falls into one of these basic 4 Social Positions as a means to interact in groups with no specific goal, such as a party, or night out, or reunion, etc. No matter the size of the group, most Social groups with no goal will reduce themselves to smaller interacting groups of 4, and each Fragment interacting will take on one of these 4 Positions, however insignificantly or meaningfully. A Quadrate with a goal may have been behind organizing the event, but subsequent interaction within the event will simply be of basic socializing. We would call this additional level of Configuration with no goal, a “CASUAL Configuration”.
LOVE Position: This Position is the one who brings the initiation of ideas to the group. They are usually very inspiring and naturally seem to be able to get everyone “psyched up” about something to do. They do not, however, have the ability to actually make the ideas happen. In fact, it is not their “job” at all. In a group of 4, the person who inspires and generates the ideas might be best left to simply doing that. In a Social situation, this person is usually the one who initiates the gathering or comes up with the suggestions for what to do, once gathered.
In a basic social situation, this is usually the most humorous, entertaining person in the group; the “social butterfly” who moves from group to group, one conversation to the next, bringing a light air to any gathering.
KNOWLEDGE is the person who refines the ideas generated by LOVE.
In a basic social situation, a Knowledge person will usually root themselves into a conversation, debate, or discussion with one or two people and remain there for a great deal of the event. They can sometimes become irritated by the whimsical, flittering of Love throughout the groups if this distracts from the more “serious discussions” Knowledge is having.
POWER is the one who is in the position to actually make the ideas of Love, refined by Knowledge, happen.
In a basic social situation, this person can express in any number of ways, but they are easily the Fragment who ultimately controls the mood and focus of the group/s. They can end the fun as easily as they can sustain it. They can shift the direction as easily as they maintain it.
SUPPORT is the mediator and cohesiveness that keeps the group stable.
In a basic social situation, this person will gravitate toward any position of the most use. In most cases, they will at least pair themselves with one other person. The Support person is the one who usually gets “stuck” tolerating, or listening to, any of the other Positions as they may express themselves inappropriately or tediously; such as a Knowledge wielding lengthy lectures on topics few are interested in; or the Love Position as they turn to the use obnoxiousness as a means to generate interaction; or Power as they may sit and brood for not getting what they want. Support will either find himself or herself in that situation or in the broader position of making sure everyone is having a good time and happy and taken care of.
A Quadrate is the most popular and most stable of all Configurations. It is usually very successful in all endeavors, either as Social or Working Configurations. The Casual Configuration is the root of all basic, stable interactions among groups of Sentience.
Incidentally, many successful sitcoms or dramas are rooted primarily in a Quadrate interacting together. Using “I Love Lucy” as the example, LUCY is the LOVE Position, Ricky is the POWER Position, Fred is the SUPPORT Position, and Ethel is the KNOWLEDGE Position. These Positions rotate occasionally, but we are speaking of the characters’ interactions as a theme. In general, Love and Power tend to pair up, while Support and Knowledge do so, as experiences are generated and goals undertaken. Love and Knowledge do not necessarily “pair up”, but they eventually do tend to lead the group, even if indirectly. Power and Support tend to remain “quieter”, though they are the Fragments who usually find each experience’s conclusion and resolution. In the example of “Lucy”, though “Ethel” and “Lucy” are always leading the group into new adventures, “Ricky” and “Fred” resolve them.
When participants in a Quadrate are not available, Love/Power take on either or both Positions, while Knowledge/Support does the same. Though Knowledge could take on Power, or vice versa, and Love/Support can also be exchanged, it is not as comfortable.
When a FIFTH Position is added to a Quadrate, it then becomes a Pentangle, or Pentagon. The new Position is called a REVOLUTIONARY. In groups of 5, there will always be one person who challenges the very stability of the focus. In Working Configurations, a Pentagon is either a formidable force, or a direct disaster. In Social situations of 5, there will always be the fifth person, the Revolutionary, who will complain, fall asleep, try to redirect the group, or finally they will simply leave the group. In a successful Working Configuration of 5, the 5th Position is usually filled with a CONCEPT instead of a Person. The Beatles are an example of both a Concept as Revolution, and a Person. The Configuration when it held a 5th person collapsed in stability, but when the Position turned to a Concept, the group excelled in tremendously successful ways.
While a Quadrate has a goal of manifesting or accomplishing something, a Pentagon, if seriously undertaken, is out for transforming things on great levels.
The next Configuration is a SEXTET, adding the Position of the Integrator. The Integrator becomes the strength and higher inspiration for longer-term sustenance of that Configuration. Usually, because of the inherent instability of a Pentagon, at some point, it will either shift to a Quadrate, or bring in an Integrator. A Sextet, then, is the next most popular and successful Working Configuration. The highly successful series called “FRIENDS” is a good example. This example of a Working Configuration of the characters is as follows:
The final Configuration we will comment on tonight will be the SEPTET, adding the Position of LEADER. A Septet’s Goal is usually one that is based in SEARCH and DISCOVERY. Most teams of 7 are based in a common goal of seeking, exploring, discovering. Many Septets are involved in medicine, science, and metaphysics, as you may have assumed.
The highly successful series of Star Trek is based primarily in Septets. The LEADER watches over all of the participant’s contributions and makes the most difficult and larger-themed decisions as to any new directions or steps. They provide the clearer template for where the growth and direction of the group will go.
This topic is a large topic, we realize, and we do note the limited time available to you. Using the list we shared at the beginning of the chat, you can extrapolate from it and determine varying meanings of Positions people may take in groups under 13. In terms of Working Configurations, the dynamics may or may not be as obvious. We will speak on the 6 other Configurations of meaning in another session.

[Cathy] Regarding Triads, my husband Brian and I have a friend living with us for an extended period of time while she is getting her business started. Can you tell me how this fits as a catalyst for transformation and progression through what kind of karma, internally or externally?
[M_Entity] The Triad Positions of Positive, Negative, and Neutral will shift among the three of you. In any given challenge, the Positive Position will be the catalyst, such as “invading privacy”. The Negative Position would be the person whose privacy was felt to be invaded. The Neutral Position is the person who either does not care, or will step in to help resolve the tension. In fact, the resolution of an issue with a Triad will be in that EACH Person experiences EACH Position before progress is made.
For example, the Positive who invaded privacy may feel bad, shifting to a constricted Negative Position. The original Negative Position whose privacy was invaded may reach out, trying to “get over it,” assuming the friendship is more important, moving to the Positive. The Neutral may see both sides, experiencing Positive and Negative, until resolution.
As you watch the dynamics among the three of you, being aware of these shifting Positions, even in moments of fun, should prove enlightening.
[LisaC] what do the roles listed have to do with the position they were paired with? Like why was server listed as love position?
[M_Entity] LOVE is that which initiates and is part of EVERYTHING. Love, in terms of the Configurations and the resonance to the Server, is in the fact that the Server Essence is primary to this Universe. The Server Essence inspires on a most basic and attainable level.
Resonance DOES NOT, however, mean that only certain Roles will gravitate to the Positions. We merely showed the correlations so as to enhance your understanding of the Positions. LOVE knows what everyone needs, just as a Server does. LOVE can be inspiring and enthusiastic, or obnoxious and manipulative, as a Server can be.
We realize some of the correlations may appear counter-intuitive, but we remind you that correlations must be considered in context. For instance, we do not suggest making this sequence parallel to the Chakra System. Though it may very well “work,” it is not a shared context. We believe the most confusing correlations, besides the Server/Love, may be the Scholar/Support, and Artisan/Knowledge. We find the resonance particular to the Configurations because Artisans are ironically highly structured Essences and can refine a great amount of energy and information quite swiftly. A Scholar does not do so. A Scholar is far more interested in indulging in the information, for the sake of the information, than to refine it. As far as the Scholar/Support, we find the resonance there to be in that the energy of the Scholar does not get “invested” in any one angle, and can therefore remain objective, supportive, and cohesive to a group. This does not mean the Support Position does not contribute knowledge, but that it is not invested in any outcome.
[cec] How do cadres and entities play out in the configurations?
[M_Entity] GROUPS of Cadres (12) are of a different context. GROUPS of Entities (a Cadre) are all Septets. In other words, there is a 1 – LOVE/Server Entity; a 2 – KNOWLEDGE/Artisan Entity, etc.
[MaryBV] In a working configuration you mentioned the work involved the life task. Do the members have the same life tasks or are they similar or complementary to each other?
[M_Entity] In a Quadrate, the individual Life Tasks would all complement each other in some way. They may not appear so, but in terms of the larger goal of the Configuration, it is contributing to the same direction. This only applies to a Working Quadrate. In all other Configurations, the Life Task may or may not contribute so directly or complementarily.
[nemo-sam] do configurations relate to community jobs?
[M_Entity] Yes. “Community Jobs,” if you are referring to the delineation of specific positions of a fragment within an Entity, relate to the higher- numbered Configurations having to do with far larger themes than any individual life may be able to make sense of.
